Deleting your account is permanent. Your profile, listings, Lost & Found posts and photos are removed and cannot be recovered.
Option 1: Delete it in the app
This is the quickest way. Your data is removed straight away.
- Open PawPals and sign in.
- Go to the Profile tab, then Settings.
- Tap Delete account and confirm.
Option 2: Ask us by email
If you can't open the app, for example because you uninstalled it or lost your phone, email us and we'll delete the account for you.
- Send your request to hello@paw-pals.lk with the subject Account deletion request.
- Include the mobile number your PawPals account is registered with (the one you sign in with).
- We may text a confirmation code to that number to check the request really comes from you.
- We'll complete the deletion within 7 days and reply when it's done.
What gets deleted
- Your profile: display name, mobile number and city.
- All of your pet listings, including active and rehomed ones.
- All of your Lost & Found posts.
- The photos you uploaded with those listings and posts.
- Reports you submitted about other listings.
What isn't covered
- Saved listings are kept only on your own phone. Deleting your account in the app clears them; otherwise uninstalling the app removes them.
- WhatsApp chats with people about a listing happen in WhatsApp, not PawPals, so we can't see or delete them.
- Ads are served by Google AdMob. Any advertising data Google holds is governed by Google's own controls and policies.
